METALLICA Announces December 2025 Shows in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain

METALLICA will close out 2025 with two major concerts in the Gulf region. On December 6, the metal legends will perform at the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert on Yas Island, near Abu Dhabi. Just three days earlier, on December 3, they’ll play their first-ever show in Bahrain at the Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre.

Tickets for the Bahrain show go on sale Thursday, April 24 at 4 p.m. AST through beyonaldana.com.bh.

Meanwhile, access to METALLICA’s Abu Dhabi performance is exclusive to race ticket holders. Fans can buy Abu Dhabi GP tickets — which include entry to the concert — via abudhabigp.com. Golden Circle upgrades are also available for those who already have a race ticket.

Return to Abu Dhabi, First Time in Bahrain

This marks METALLICA’s third appearance in Abu Dhabi, following shows in 2011 and 2013. However, it will be their debut performance in Bahrain, adding a new chapter to their global touring legacy.

David Powell, strategy chief at event organizer Ethara, said:

“METALLICA deliver life-changing shows. They are the perfect addition to the 2025 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Yasalam offering. Saturday will be unmissable for both F1 and rock fans.”

In 2023, METALLICA also returned to the Gulf to headline Soundstorm Festival in Saudi Arabia.

2025 Tour Highlights

The band kicked off 2025 with a show on April 19 at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY. Support came from PANTERA and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. That concert was part of the ongoing “M72 World Tour”, which launched in April 2023 in Amsterdam and has since drawn over three million fans.

In 2024, the tour concluded with four massive nights in Mexico City, where over 250,000 fans attended two No Repeat Weekends.

What’s New in 2025

The No Repeat Weekend concept continues in 2025, with each show offering different setlists and support acts. Highlights include:

• Nashville on May 1 & 3 (first time in five years)
• Tampa on June 6 & 8 (first visit in 15 years)
• Bay Area homecoming at Levi’s Stadium on June 20 & 22

Additionally, METALLICA is bringing its in-the-round stage setup to several single-show stadiums, including:

• April 19 – JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse, NY
• May 7 – Lane Stadium, Blacksburg, VA (first visit ever)

The Lane Stadium date is especially symbolic, as “Enter Sandman” has been a Virginia Tech football tradition for over 20 years.

On May 9 and 11, METALLICA will headline Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, OH, blending the festival atmosphere with the No Repeat concept.
