The pop superstar launched her much-anticipated tour with a spectacular show in Mexico City.
Just ten days after her historic trip to space, Katy Perry launched her Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City. The opening night took place on Wednesday (April 23) and featured a stunning, space-themed show.
Perry had teased the setlist earlier. She did so while aboard Blue Origin’s first all-woman crew flight. During the performance at Arena CDMX, she combined new songs from her 2024 album 143 with classic hits. As a result, the show took fans on a journey through her music career.
The pop icon wore bright, futuristic costumes throughout the night. Additionally, she brought the feeling of zero gravity to the stage. She floated in the air using wires, rode a flying creature, and even levitated inside a glowing sphere.
Although most of the setlist had been revealed from space, there were some surprises. Perry introduced a “Choose Your Own Adventure” segment, which let fans vote on older songs. On opening night, they picked two favorites from Teenage Dream.
Over the next seven months, Perry will tour around the world. Fans everywhere will get to hear 24 songs live. Check out the full setlist from her first show in Mexico City below
