Rock legends AC/DC have been electrifying fans for over six decades, and in 2025, they’re finally returning to headline a U.S. tour after more than nine years. The Power Up North American Tour promises to shake stadiums across the country.
From timeless hits like “Back in Black” and “Hells Bells” to the crowd-pumping anthem “Thunderstruck,” AC/DC’s music has become a staple at sporting events and rock shows everywhere. Now, the Grammy-winning band is bringing their high-voltage energy directly to fans, celebrating the Power Up album that first launched in 2020.
The Power Up album holds special meaning for the band. It was dedicated to Malcolm Young, AC/DC’s co-founder and rhythm guitarist, who passed away in 2017. He had helped craft much of the material before his death.
“A lot of those songs were from me and him working together over the years,” Angus Young told Goldmine. “Even when we made Black Ice in 2008, we already had boxes of ideas filled with great AC/DC songs. We just kept building on them.”
According to Angus, Power Up became the perfect tribute to Malcolm’s legacy:
“There’s a lot of songs we had saved from that era. When we were doing Black Ice, we talked about releasing more later, and Malcolm always said, ‘We’ll definitely get ’em out.’”
