Real Madrid has officially announced Xabi Alonso as the club’s new head coach, following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti. The former Spanish international returns to the Santiago Bernabéu, not as a player this time, but to lead the first team from the touchline.
Press Conference Scheduled
Alonso’s unveiling will take place on Monday, May 26, at 12:30 PM at Real Madrid’s facilities. Before the press conference, club president Florentino Pérez will host an official signing ceremony to confirm Alonso’s three-year contract, running from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.

Xabi Alonso made a lasting impact during his time as a player at Real Madrid. Between 2009 and 2014, he appeared in 236 official matches, helping the club to secure:
